In its heyday, German tuning company 9ff produced some of the world’s most powerful and fastest Porsches. As a matter of fact, the 9ff GT9-R was one of the world’s fastest cars and could reportedly reach 414 km/h. In the middle of September last year however, 9ff filed for insolvency and eventually went bankrupt.

Spent a morning this week at Tuthill Porsche, watching a proper Porsche 911 3.0 RSR engine go together. The most interesting thing about this engine is it was built using rare factory sand-cast engine cases: something apart from the norm and a nice link to RSR heritage.

Singer Vehicle Design

In November 2014 XCAR released a video documentary featuring an inside look at Singer Vehicle Design, the absolutely genius company behind the ultimate vintage Porsche 911. And then, not long afterwards, the video was taken down. Like you, we too were disappointed and left wondering the reason. But now it’s been re-posted and supposedly amended in some way(s). Whatever the case, we’re just thrilled it’s back online.

TechArt Porsche 911 Targa

At the Essen Motor Show 2014 the TechArt Porsche 911 Targa was unveiled by famed Porsche tuner TechArt. TechArt has tweaked the 911 Targa in the past, but this was their first go with the 991-generation car and to ensure the finished product didn’t go unnoticed at the show, it was finished in a bright shade of green!
